We Care
Since launching our Graduates Programme in 2019, we have been shaping the future of young professionals by equipping them with hands-on experience and invaluable business insights. Now in its seventh year, this initiative continues to offer recent graduates a powerful stepping stone into the corporate world.
For six months, selected graduates embark on a structured and immersive journey designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application. They gain exposure to various aspects of our business, including receiving, merchandising, sales, yard operations, fleet management, and dispatching.
Those with specialized qualifications, such as Supply Chain Management, have the opportunity to focus on their field of expertise. We are also committed to uplifting the communities we serve. Whenever possible, we place our interns in branches located in their hometowns, fostering local talent and strengthening our nationwide network. With 22 branches – including SpecTiles and MegaBoards – our reach and impact continue to grow.
The programme is open to Namibian citizens aged 25 and younger. While we initially accepted graduates from all academic backgrounds, we have since refined our approach to prioritize qualifications aligned with our business needs.
This ensures that interns gain maximum value from their experience while contributing meaningfully to our operations. Applications open annually in the last quarter of the year through our website, www.megabuild.com/careers. Interested candidates must submit their CV, ID, degree, and NQA evaluation report. Competition is fierce, with over 400 applications received each year, and a final selection of 10-20 interns.
This year, we are proud to welcome 11 outstanding graduates to the programme. Among them are Beronzcho Cloete, Mantius Nehemia Amukoshi, and Secilia Uusiku, who have joined the Windhoek Central Shop.
Britney Engelbrecht is placed in the Divisional Office - HR, while Victor Shimweefeleni is gaining experience at Windhoek North. Megaboards has welcomed Tukaleni-Nomukumo Julia Shimueoshili and Veronique Lesley-Ann Radien. Other interns include Maria Naita Kuume in Outapi, Laudika Kafine in Ongwediva, Hendrina Kakeloye in Swakopmund, and Hertha Elama in Walvis Bay.
We are thrilled to support these young professionals as they take their first steps into the industry. Their journey with us is just beginning, and we can’t wait to see how they grow and contribute to the future of Megabuild!
