In 2008, a specialised department was established at Pupkewitz Megabuild and Builders Warehouse to assist and develop small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Namibia. We also offer multiple benefits to our employees.
“I am proud to be part of the Pupkewitz Group. This is truly one of the best companies to work for as it offers enough room for growth by continuously developing staff through various trainings and development initiatives.”

Application deadlines have been closed.
Things
in our beautiful Namibia are tough and there are a lot of graduates who cannot
find a job. We have responded to this desperate need by initiating this
programme to support newly graduated students, helping them gain work
experience which will serve as an additional advantage for furthering their
careers. Creating opportunity is where it’s at!
The
next programme will start in January 2020 and 15 fresh out of varsity students
will be taken in and start their journey with MegaBuild.
In
2019, we had great success! The programme kicked-off early in February after
more than 600 applications were filtered to select the 14 best candidates to
accompany MegaBuild on its first Graduate Programme journey. The candidates
where selected based on various elements, such as their field of study,
exceptional results achieved, and attitude towards building a career. The
programme’s aim is to create an experience where all graduates have the
opportunity to add value to their careers so it’s designed to accommodate
various fields of study.
Although
this is only a six-month programme, the vision remains constant; for graduates
to walk away with a value-added experience. The programme last year showed very
promising results, as five candidates received permanent contracts at
MegaBuild, one candidate’s contract was extended for exceptional performance,
another received a bursary from Nedbank, one had already received employment
and three are still busy with their programme.

“I would advise young aspiring professionals out there to take that leap of faith and diversify their skills. I challenge my fellow Namibian youth to think outside the box, explore all available options and truly work hard in discovering their niche.”

The Commercial Advancement Training Scheme (CATS) is a two-year training programme which gives both school leavers and employees the opportunity to gain theoretical and practical training, a key to success. Through collaboration between CATS and MegaBuild, the students are placed on a rotation programme to gain an all-round experience of the business.
This concept dates back to the Middle Ages where students received both practical and book knowledge at the same time. The programme is based on the European Dual Education System.
Those training under CATS will attend a series of classes at Nust for their theoretical training. Since 2013 MegaBuild and CATS have been working together with the vision to create well-rounded students who become talented and successful employees. Fourteen students have been taken in to date and we hope for many more. MegaBuild exists not only in our communities, but with our communities and we work together for a brighter future for Namibia and her people.
Waldo Bampton is one such graduate. He came third in his class and continues to surprise us with his people skills and extraordinary initiative.
“In the pursuit of success and wealth I came across the CATS programme which is a life-changing opportunity. Due to the programme I now have sound knowledge of the daily operations of Pupkewitz Megabuild and I also have a diploma in business process management which can be a great foundation to my career.”
